Terms of Service
Last updated 2 August 2026
These terms cover using Tap2Grow — the products, the app, and the pages your visitors see. By creating an account you agree to them.
The one thing to read even if you read nothing else: a Tap2Grow product is not a tracking device. See "What this product is not" below.
What Tap2Grow is
We sell physical objects — cards, pet lockets, keychains, desk stands — with an NFC chip inside. The chip holds a web address. When a phone is held near it, that address opens and shows the profile you have published. We host that page and the app you use to edit it.
Your account
- Give us an email address you actually control. It is how we verify the account and how we would reach you about it.
- Keep your password to yourself. Anything done from a signed-in session is treated as done by you. You can revoke a device at any time from the app.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 13.
What you publish
Your profile content stays yours. By putting it on a profile you allow us to store it and display it to anyone who taps your product or opens your link — which is the entire function of the service.
You are responsible for what you publish. Only publish what you have the right to, and remember that a profile page is public to anyone holding the object: treat it as a page on the open web, because that is what it is.
Things you must not do
- Impersonate someone else, or publish another person's contact details without their agreement.
- Publish anything unlawful, or anything meant to deceive the person who taps.
- Use the finder message box to harass an owner, or the platform to send bulk unsolicited messages.
- Attempt to read, clone, enumerate or interfere with products that are not yours, or with the service itself.
Products, activation and company-owned cards
- A product is linked to your account when you activate it. One product points at one profile at a time, and you can repoint it whenever you like.
- If your employer bought the card, the company owns it, not you. They can reassign or deactivate it — for example when you leave — and any profile published through it stops being reachable.
- Chips can be lost, damaged or worn out. We will replace a product that fails through a manufacturing fault; ordinary damage is not covered.
What this product is not
The chip inside a Tap2Grow product is passive. It has no battery, no radio of its own and no satellite receiver. It does nothing at all until a phone is held against it and powers it for the moment of the tap.
- It cannot tell you where a person, a pet or an object is.
- It reports nothing between taps, and nothing at all if nobody taps it.
- The location shown with a finder's message is where that person's phone was at the moment they tapped, and only if they chose to share it.
Do not rely on a Tap2Grow product to find a missing animal or person. It is a way for a stranger who has already found them to reach you. If you need live tracking, buy a GPS tracker.
Availability
We work to keep the service up but do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change or withdraw features. If a change materially reduces what you paid for, we will tell account holders in advance.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time — see deleting your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will explain why unless we are legally prevented from doing so. Your profile pages stop resolving when the account ends.
Liability
Tap2Grow is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss arising from a profile being unreachable, or for anything that follows from relying on this product as a tracking device. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death, personal injury, or fraud.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes go to the courts there. If you are a consumer, this does not take away rights you have under the law of the country you live in.
Changes
We will update the date at the top when these terms change, and tell account holders in the app when a change is material.
